Privacy Policy

TripOdyssey ("the App") is developed by TGavriilidis. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

TripOdyssey does not collect personal data, create user accounts, or store your trip content on any server we operate. All trip data lives on your device.

The App may access the following data, only when you grant permission:

• Calendar Events — To import travel bookings (flights, hotels, activities) into your trips. Events are read locally and never sent anywhere.
• Photos — To add trip cover photos and daily memory photos. Photos are selected through the system photo picker and stored locally on your device.

Data Storage

All trip data, photos, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate any backend service and do not upload your trips to our servers.

Data Sharing

TripOdyssey does not share your data with any third parties on your behalf. When you use the trip sharing feature, you control exactly what is shared and with whom via iOS's native share sheet. The exported file contains the full trip you choose to share — locations, dates, notes, and any photos you added — so only share it with people you trust.

Analytics & Tracking

TripOdyssey does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks.

Data Deletion

All data is deleted when you uninstall the App. You can also delete individual trips within the App at any time. Because all data is stored locally on your device, you exercise access, correction, and deletion rights (including those under GDPR and the UK GDPR) directly within the App.

Third-Party Services

To provide maps, search, directions, and weather, the App sends limited requests to the following services. No account, identifier, or personal information is attached to these requests — only the location or date range needed to answer the query.

• Apple MapKit, MapKit Search, and Directions — Used to display maps, search for places when adding a location, and compute travel routes between stops. Requests are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple CoreLocation Geocoding — Used to convert place names into coordinates (and vice versa) when you add or import locations. Handled by Apple under the same policy linked above.
• Open-Meteo — Used to fetch current and historical weather for the coordinates of your trip stops. Open-Meteo is a free weather API that, per its own policy, does not require an API key and does not track users. See the Open-Meteo Terms & Privacy.

Children's Privacy

TripOdyssey is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
